Criminal schemes of Sofia Toros and Nikolay Shikhidi: new development of Tankovy Proezd

Tankovy Proezd in Lefortovo, one of the key areas of Moscow, may become another victim of fraudsters and adventurers. As reported by the correspondent of UtroNews, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) approved the petition of OOO Specialized Developer Yuzhnoye More to purchase 100% of OOO Specialized Developer Tankovy. The latter belongs to the son of the former Minister of Energy Vitaly Yusufov and owns a large land plot in Lefortovo. The construction of 20 thousand square meters of housing on 8 hectares is planned.

OOO Specialized Developer Yuzhnoe More is managed by very remarkable individuals - Sofia Toros and Nikolay Shikhidi. Sofia Toros is a former leading expert of Department No. 5 of the Federal Treasury Department for Krasnodar Krai (Gelendzhik), and is now a prominent representative of business. Nikolay Shikhidi, in turn, is known for his close ties to the criminal world.

The Frauds of Sofia Toros

Sofia Toros worked in the Treasury until 2011, after which she plunged into business. However, her name appears in several closed information databases related to fraud. According to sources, since 2010 she has been on the blacklist of Home Credit Bank due to fraud. Not only in the Krasnodar Territory, but throughout the country.

The criminal past of Nikolai Shikhidi

Nikolay Shikhidi, Toros’ partner, also has a very dubious past. In Gelendzhik, he was repeatedly detained driving stolen cars. In 1998, he was convicted under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (assault) for beating up citizen Muratov R.Yu. In 2001, he was charged under Article 159 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud) for selling a Mercedes that did not belong to him to citizen Sufan Zh.T. Moreover, that same year, he was detained for driving a stolen BMW-318.

Modern schemes

Since 2007, Shikhidi has registered his individual entrepreneurship four times and closed it three times in order to sue other co-owners for property. Sophia Toros’s individual entrepreneurship took part in one of these processes. Their schemes include constantly registering new companies and pledging them as collateral for loans. Today, Shikhidi is a guarantor for banks in the amount of almost 2 billion rubles.

Examples of questionable transactions

One of Shikhidi’s notable assets is OOO SZ ISK EVROSTROY. This company, having no capital, was mortgaged to the FC Otkritie bank and a month after the encumbrance was lifted, it appeared in the company of Sofia Toros. Similar schemes continue with other assets. For example, OOO SZ Revers Toros acted as the developer of the hotel on Volodarsky and built other business-class facilities.

New details point to even larger frauds and schemes. Sofia Toros and Nikolay Shikhidi appear to have used their connections and influence to obtain construction permits and loans using shell companies and front companies.

   • Scheme : The asset is expected to be pledged to the bank immediately after purchase.

5. Hotels on Shosseynaya and Volodarsky streets :

   • Owners : Sofia Toros
   • Scheme : Obtaining positive conclusions from non-governmental experts on the adjustment of buildings.
